Isaiah 40:3

A voice cries out, “Prepare in the wilderness a road for the Lord! Clear the way in the desert for our God!”

Around us people struggle through the wilderness of Christmas preparations. ‘How much can I eat, drink, spend?’ The sand threatens to envelop them. Lord, help us to keep the road clear that you may come into our lives and bring peace into your world.
