Mothers’ Union parents’ groups

At Mothers’ Union we are committed to offering help and support to parents. One of the ways this is achieved is through parents’ groups.

Research has shown how helpful parents find it to be able to meet together, in a comfortable and non-threatening environment, able to share the joys and also the difficulties they experience.

Train to be a volunteer parenting facilitator on the Mothers’ Union Passionate about Parenting training course, which provides an opportunity to gain the skills needed to successfully facilitate these groups. For further information about the Mothers’ Union parenting programme, contact your diocesan Action & Outreach Coordinator or email the Programmes Manager at outreach@themothersunion.org

A parent told us that after participating in a parents’ group she “now stops and thinks before shouting my head off”

  • An Inspired idea:
Engaged couples add their names and the date of their wedding to a prayer tree so that members can then pray for them.

  • Feedback on Inspired

"Looking through the Inspired pages I really was ‘inspired’ to read about the variety of activities with which Mothers’ Union members are involved; some of them really simple so that even the smallest branches could take them on.

Just imagine if every branch was ‘inspired’ to take up one thing – what an impact that would have!"
