Working with the Children’s Task Force at Diocesan house the Children’s Network Project organises training and resource days which are open to all who are involved in children’s activities from toddler groups to Messy Church. This has developed into a valuable support network, with excellent exchange of ideas, suggestions and advice.
A Play and Praise Event is also held each year – so far both Norwich Cathedral and Yarmouth Minster have hosted these free events, involving an interactive service, picnic and fun & games – all in celebration of family life.
Support Group for parents
As well as helping with a variety of Church toddler groups and ‘Pram Services’ Mothers’ Union offers support and discussion groups for parents. Just chatting with others in a relaxed group can help with the little problems all parents can experience with young children, especially when parents are away from wider family support
