At a time when family life is under pressure, Mothers’ Union is more important than ever, promoting the importance of marriage, supporting families and nurturing faith; with members sensitively spreading the news of a God who loves and cares for us all.

All over the UK and Ireland, members are doing amazing things, reaching out to couples, families and communities through the church and local community to offer kindness and encouragement. Inspired enables members and friends of Mothers’ Union to share with each other great ideas about how to reach out to those around us – it includes:

Worship and Bible study resources: In Mothers’ Union, all our work is rooted in prayer, formed and supported by Biblical principles.  Worship and Bible study resources are provided to help individuals and groups prayerfully consider how as Christians we are reaching out, or could do, reflecting God’s love to others.   

Key steps: issues to consider as we each seek to reach out to those around us.

Suggestions: about how individuals, branches and larger groups could engage with Inspired.

Inspired ideas: examples of the ways members are reaching out, shared so that others can consider if these ideas, or something like them, will work in their community too. 

As you explore these resources, we hope that you’ll feel both proud and inspired, at all that Mothers’ Union is and does, and will also share with us details of the ways that you are reaching out to others, so that fellow members can learn from your experience.

    Engaged couples add their names and the date of their wedding to a prayer tree so that members can then pray for them.
