Wave of Prayer

stained glass

Mothers’ Union expresses its Christian identity through its life of prayer and worship. It is this spiritual life together which underpins our work with families and communities. Every day a wave of prayer goes around the world as members stop and pray in the middle of the day to pray for the work of Mothers’ Union and international issues. These daily prayers follow an annual pattern which means that every Mothers’ Union region is prayed for at least once during the year.

January 5th -7th 2019  is the designated week for Norwich Diocese to lead the Wave of Prayer, and our members will make a special effort to  meet together to pray for the work of Mothers’ Union and it’s members in our new linked  dioceses, and we look forward with anticipation to the joy to being united in prayer with Swaziland; Ruaha in Tanzania; Aguata and Lagos Mainland in Nigeria,
and Chotanagpur in North India.   They too will be praying for each other and for our members and work here  in Norwich .
