Churches and Schools can support us by raising funds for annual events.
Make a Mothers’ Day – an annual appeal around Mothering Sunday, funds raised in a special collection or with a cake bake sale after the service are used to help women in isolated villages overseas to feed their children, pay school fees etc by training them to establish a farming or weaving project for example, and then being able to market their produce or crafts.
Wheels Appeal – a world-wide cake bake sale raising funds for transport grants for our Community Development Co-ordinators (CDCs) which enable them to visit isolated areas with Mobile Clinics, or to give training sessions on hygiene, HIV/Aids issues, and self sufficiency farming projects amongst many other projects.
Mothers Union Norwich welcomes support from non members, churches and schools across the diocese. Our Away from it All Holiday Project and Loving for Life programmes need funding, also our Diocesan Funds which enable us to carry out the work we do in the diocese. We can provide speakers for your PCC/School/Church service to raise awareness of who we are and what we do in this diocese.
