Mother’s Union members commit themselves to pray for their sisters across the world through the ‘Wave of Prayer’. Traditionally each day at 12 noon Mothers’ Union members pause to pray. Even if it is not possible for you to pause at midday you can use these daily prayers to join this 24/7 Wave of Prayer around the globe, praying for the diocese in turn.(Diocese is the Anglican name for the areas that it’s members are grouped into. The whole of the Isle of Man without anywhere else is the Diocese of Sodor and Man.)
The groupings of countries and dates for the wave of prayer has recently been reorganised and Isle of Man Diocese is now grouped with George Diocese in South Africa, Bungoma Diocese in Kenya, Western Tanganyika Diocese in Tanzania, Ideato Diocese in Nigeria and Toronto Diocese in Canada. From 2015 we will be prayed for 23-25th July.

and through your actions of love,
call us to be your disciples.
Give us strength to be different,
to stand up for justice and peace
and be signs of your reconciling love for all.
God of grace, enable us, your servants
to carry out your mission on earth
through the work of Mothers’ Union worldwide.
Today we pray for the people and work of (see the Wave of Prayer each day).
We pray for all members.
May we be aware of Gods presence with us
in every part of our lives,
encouraging us all and leading us,
sheltering and strengthening us all
so that we may work to your praise and glory.
Amen.
