A very successful Bereavement Group was started with support of members of the Chaplaincy.  Regrettably it has been decided that the Group meetings should be suspended indefinitely as the organisers have felt for several months that they are no longer meeting a need.

Anyone needing to talk in confidence to someone following a death can always talk to one of the clergy or a lay member of the Ministry Team and those simply looking for company are welcome to come along to meetings of the Mothers Union or other Fellowship Groups that now meet in various parts of the Chaplaincy (see Chaplaincy Web-site)

We have 25 Members in our Branch and quite a few who join us when visiting from UK.   We look forward to seeing everyone in the future, together with any friends you may wish to bring along.

A warm welcome is offered to members from other branches and people from any Church who are interested in finding out about the work and witness of this group.  As can be seen the meetings have a varied programme covering many topics from interesting speakers.

All our members are actively involved in the pastoral work of the Chaplaincy.

Sadly Debbie stood down as our leader in 2011 and we give our grateful thanks to Debbie for all the hard work she has put in since we started the branch in 2007.

Margaret carried on with the hard work and consolidated the position of the Branch and established its sound workings with her experienced team.
Margaret stood down as Branch Leader at the 2014 AGM held in October  and Angela Dyer (on the right) was elected as our new Branch Leader.

Angela subsequently stood down as Branch Leader at the 2016 AGM and Wendy Sharpe was nominated and elected as our new Branch Leader.

During the Chaplaincy of St Peter and St Paul Service at Los Balcones Church Wendy was duly inducted as the Branch Leader by the Chaplain Father Richard A Seabrook SSC

At 11.30am Father Richard lead us up through the Stations of the Cross, stopping at each station with readings prayers and hymns.
It was a moving service which the Mothers’ Union in Torrevija organise every year.
When we reached the top for the last three stations some of our members, who are unable to climb the steps, met us for the final stations.
After the stations we all went to a local restaurant for lunch.
