AKOKO-EDO DIOCESE, NIGERIA

We pray for all members of the diocese of Akoko-Edo especially the
Diocesan President Victoria Oyekpen, wife of Bishop Oyekpen. Give her
patience and perseverance as she continues in her quest to be a judge.
We pray for her as she undertakes challenging and difficult work in both
arbitration and restorative justice
We continue to pray for the work with young people asking that
numbers of early pregnancies and school drop outs will continue to
decrease.
Uphold and strengthen those MU members working with women who
have had a traditional marriage and want a church blessing in order to
become members of MU. Please bless those working with girls in order
to prevent dropouts from school and underage marriages. Help them
keep close to the girls as they organise cultural and recreational
activities as part of their fellowship programs.

DUTSE DIOCESE, NIGERIA

We pray for the members of the Diocese of Dutse and the Diocesan
President Mrs Markus Yohanna Danbinta and Bishop Markus.
We give thanks that both their sons have gained university places when
it is common for Christian students to be denied access to courses like
law and medicine. We pray for fair access to higher education.
We pray that plans to build extra classrooms and renovate old ones at
the United Thanks Offering School will come to fruition.
Repeated attempts, in acquiring a piece of land to build a vocational
centre for both Christian and Muslim women have been unsuccessful –
we ask for a swift and positive outcome.
Thank you that you continue to sustain Christians in this challenging
country. May the new Primate of Nigeria be a prayerful and positive
leader of your church.

TARIME DIOCESE, TANZANIA

With sad but thankful hearts we remember the life and work of the late
Rosemary Ezekiel and ask you to grant strength to her successor as MU
Link Chairperson, Grace Monge. We are mindful of Grace’s great
courage and faith in taking on this role at a time of personal tragedy.
We thank God for the continued success of the sewing project. The 50
or so girls enrolled still need the safety of a strong fence as well as food
and accommodation when travelling long distances. So we continue to
pray for their provision.
May the young women learn useful skills to equip them for the future.

KAJO-KEJI, SOUTH SUDAN 2020

We pray for all members of the diocese of Kajo-Keji especially the
Diocesan President Cecilia Murye, wife of Bishop Emmanuel Murye and
Silvia Namadi, development coordinator.
We praise you Father God for the wonderful work you have done in
South Sudan and that your timing is perfect. You heard and responded
to our prayers for peace and we ask now that your people will be able
to return home by the end of this year.
By your spirit, guide the plans for repatriation and may the MU see
answers to their prayers as confirmation of the ministry you want them
to resume as they return.
In particular we ask that the MU training centre will be renovated and
that you will bless the plans to build a MU guest house and that, as well
as providing hospitality, it will generate funds for the provision and maintenance of a vehicle.
We pray that Bishop Emmanuel’s plans to come to the Lambeth
Conference with Cecilia will not be thwarted and that their time here
will be a great blessing and encouragement.
